AstraLex is a high-end shaderpack for Minecraft 1.19.4. It’s an edit of the popular BSL Shaders, by CaptTatsu. If you’ve never heard of this shaderpack, you might know it by its old name ‘BSLex’. This name was too confusing for many people, so the shaderpack now goes by the name ‘AstraLex’.

Colorful and scenic

This shaderpack, like BSL Shaders, adds wonderful coloring to Minecraft, with vibrant terrain colors and a blue sky. As with many high-end shaders, sky color changes with specific sun angles. When the sun is about to set or rise, the sky will color orange.

Besides the great coloring, the shaderpack also adds subtle god rays to make your Minecraft sunset look even better.

BSL Edit

As mentioned before, AstraLex is an edit of BSL Shaders, and also contains elements of >Complementary Shaders, which is another BSL edit.

As with Complementary Shaders, this shaderpack does not look much like BSL Shaders. So it is safe to say this really is an edit of BSL Shaders.

AstraLex features

As expected with a high-end shaderpack, this shaderpack offers plenty of features. By default, it will add fluffy clouds, water parallax (with moving water!), realistic lighting and much more. One feature that will remind many of us of the old BSL Shaders, is the subtle block border.

And that’s not all: the shaderpack support many other high-end features such as texture pack support and all kinds of cinematic effects. These include film grain, blur effects and even simulated CRT distortion.
